Dr. Greenwood, a licensed psychologist, is the founder of The Washington Center For Cognitive Therapy  in Washington D.C. He is a founding member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy  and has published articles on the effectiveness of cognitive therapy with a range of disorders including substance abuse, the chronically mentally ill, and medical difficulties exacerbated by stress. He has worked as a research associate and training leader at Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute of Health.
